What you leave to someone else.
A gift or legacy to Everyday Heroes gives someone the chance to get ahead. Someone who really wants to work, start a business or take part, but without help stays stuck. Not for lack of motivation, but because one practical obstacle blocks the way. The contribution removes that block.
The giver decides where the contribution goes. Sometimes there's a bond with a particular region, target group or social theme. Everyday Heroes can also use a contribution where it's needed most at that moment.
Afterwards, we show carefully and transparently what the contribution has achieved. Not just in concrete results, but also in the stories of the people who got a chance because of it. That way a gift or legacy gets a face, and its meaning lives on.
For many people, that's the appeal of giving this way: it stays small and concrete, even when the amount is large. A driving licence, tools to get started with. Behind every contribution is a person with a name, and behind them, often, a family, an employer and a neighbourhood where the difference can be felt.
Everyday Heroes makes sure a contribution goes where it does the most good, and that we account for it.

GIVING TO AN ANBI
Carefully arranged. And often tax-efficient.
Everyday Heroes is an ANBI, a Dutch public benefit organisation. That means your gift may be tax-deductible, and we don't pay tax on it. So your whole contribution goes to the cause.

The Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst) has designated Everyday Heroes as a Public Benefit Organisation (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, ANBI). To qualify, we must follow rules on spending, governance and transparency. You can check our status in the Belastingdienst's ANBI register. You can give an amount at any time. A gift to an ANBI is deductible in your Dutch income tax return. One-off gifts are subject to a threshold, though. Only the part above 1% of your threshold income (at least €60) is deductible, up to a maximum of 10%. Keep your bank statement as proof.

Do you give the same amount every year for at least five years? Then your entire gift is deductible, with no threshold. You record this in a written agreement with us. You don't need a notary. The Belastingdienst has a standard form for it. Get in touch and we'll arrange it together.

You can include Everyday Heroes in your will. With a fixed amount or a share of your estate. You arrange this with a notary. Because we're an ANBI, we don't pay inheritance tax. So your entire legacy goes to the cause.
