Support workers & job coaches
A caseworker, job coach, neighbourhood team member, debt counsellor, employer, social worker or support worker sees that someone is keen to take a step forward, but is held back by one practical barrier that can't be solved within existing schemes.
The professional submits an application to Everyday Heroes. Within two weeks, you'll know whether it has been approved. (See also the ground rules.)
Together, we arrange exactly what's needed. A laptop, a bike, a driving licence, a certificate, workwear or another provision that helps someone move forward straight away.
THE LAST STEP
Every application starts with a professional.
SO YOU CAN KEEP GOING
There's always something that needs help, sometimes beyond the individual's control.
"We aim to help as many people into work as possible. We listen to where someone wants to work and what their ideal workplace looks like. We work with municipalities and private partners and offer a range of provisions for jobseekers. And sometimes, something specific is still needed to help a candidate move forward.
Reintegration companies and job coaches know where to find Everyday Heroes and apply directly. And where UWV can't help any further, Everyday Heroes steps in for that final push. It gives us valuable feedback. Why isn't this already part of what we offer? Could we have provided this too? We keep each other sharp.
It helps employers understand what's needed. 'If I make sure this person has the right tools, like a driving licence or an adapted screen, I can put him to work.' When we share the stories, employers are willing to listen and see opportunities. And to help jobseekers and employers find each other more easily, we're opening 35 regional work centres. There, we work together with municipalities, social partners and other parties.
And here too, we keep Everyday Heroes close at hand, so we can quickly offer tailor-made solutions where that otherwise wouldn't be possible."

"A course, workwear… they can make the difference between being able to work or not. That's when we knock on Everyday Heroes' door. People can focus on enjoying their work again. That's what we do it for!"

HOW IT WORKS FOR YOUR CANDIDATE
Exactly what it takes for your candidate to get started.
So a practical obstacle doesn't hold your candidate back.
-
A resident or candidate you support wants to work, learn, start a business or take part in the neighbourhood. The motivation is there.
-
You've probably been working on it for a while. There's a practical barrier blocking the last step. And the regular solutions and provisions don't offer a way out.
-
You apply online, it's easy. On average, it takes a support worker, job coach or neighbourhood coach ten minutes.
-
Together, we arrange the laptop, bike, driving licence, certificate or whatever else is needed. Quick, personal and targeted: we assess the application within two weeks and make sure someone gets what they need to move forwar
-
The practical barrier is solved. Your candidate or resident can start working, start a business or take part.
-
More self-worth, income and prospects. Someone matters again, to themselves, their family and home situation, their employer, the municipality and society.
