As a sheet metal worker, Arlindo would not be able to work untill his retirement due to physical complaints.
Arlindo’s story
Arlindo has now turned its back on Heavy industry. His body is worn out by the hard work in the industry. Taxi work appealed to him very much. Arlindo also enjoys driving and is physically able to handle taxi work well.
He came into contact with Top Support Netherlands via SmartPlus4. This organisation focuses on the secondment of taxi drivers. There is a huge shortage of drivers. That's why Arlindo thought he could seize his chance.
But Arlindo did not yet have a taxi pass. Thanks to an application with Everyday Heroes and the 'We are closer than you think' project and the Triodos Bank Impact Package, he can now follow training for this.
With a temporary taxi pass, he is already working in group transport during his taxi training. As soon as he passes his taxi exam, he can expand his hours in, among other things, healthcare transport. Provided his health allows several hours of work. He is very happy with this opportunity and can't wait to start and work as an accomplished driver!
