The story of Mohammed Ibrahim

“I am Mohammed Ibrahim and I’m originaly from Somalia. I came to live in the Netherlands in 2016 and since 2017 I have lived in Wolvega with my wife and now 5 children. In mid-2022, together with a group of other status holders from Wolvega, I started a process to ultimately find work.

The process, 'Movement to Work', was organised by Set in from Leeuwarden and started with literally getting moving. To the gym, sports and game mornings in the sports hall and lifestyle classes. This also put me in touch with other people from the neighborhood.

After this, I gained work experience in Donkerbroek at 'Fabryk Werkt' for a while. This was a very nice time and they made sure hat I can return to work fully. With the help of Set in I have now found a job at European Aerosols in Wolvega. Here they make aerosol cans and I can work as a production employee.

I am very happy that I got this opportunity. Now that I have received a bicycle through Everyday Heroes, I will certainly manage to keep this job and I will no longer need benefits from the municipality. Thank you! 😊”
