The story of Mehmet

Mehmet works at a technical company. He came to the Netherlands from his home country several years ago. After completing his integration process, Mehmet worked for a while as a mechanic at a technical company, but he always had the ambition to return to his own field: engineering. In his home country, he completed a university degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for a while as an engineer in the field of electrical engineering.

At this company, Mehmet has been given the opportunity to return to engineering and has started as a Junior Engineer. This is going well, and he has been fully embraced by his colleagues. Mehmet is enjoying himself immensely, and he is thrilled to be back in his field of work. He is busy improving his Dutch language skills and learning about the Dutch electrical system and regulations. Everything is going well, and soon Mehmet will also be visiting clients independently. Unfortunately, this poses a problem because Mehmet does not have a valid driver's license. He had a driver's license in his home country and took some lessons in the Netherlands but had not yet obtained the license.

Thanks to Everyday Heroes providing Mehmet with a driver's license, he can start visiting clients independently. Additionally, Mehmet can use the driver's license for personal purposes, making him and his family much more mobile and self-sufficient. Public transportation is not always sufficient everywhere. Looking further into the future, Mehmet has the opportunity to advance as an engineer in the field of electrical engineering and develop within the department.

With special thanks to the Impact Package of Invest International.
